Hi Guys,

Here is my Media Center in Windows7.

I took some time out and spent some time to get my entire movie collection on my HDD in proper formatting with metadata for use in such features as below.

It has taken me in about 4-5 hours, 2 tools to get my entire collection of close to 350 movies which were completely scattered. All of them with their own group tagging, some with rar files still in them. In this whole venture I have manged to free up close to 54 "lost" Gbs.

Without further adue, here is how my collections looks like. ffdshow and coreavc run the actual video. So quality is like mpc. Since I make use of direct vobsub for subtitles, I am not saving any cpu cycles. In any case, not that I care much.

The tools apart from the actual media center are:

1)media browser
2)meta<browser/>
3)CCCP - Combined Community Codec Pack

Enjoy!

ps: Thanks to Zhopudey for letting me know about this! :)

First of all, Congrats !!

Could you write a short tutorial how you did this ? That will be very helpful for us. :)

Do the movies need to be stored at primary HDD ?

This is the actual thread I had referred to. You may check this out. If you still have any problems, let me know.

I had freed up space by deleting the rar files which I used to neglect.

nVidia cards + CoreAVC can hardware accelerate level 5.1 encodes, which AMD cards and Intel cards can't. Only difference :)
