The word is finally out. AMD will launch it’s much anticipated next generation graphics processors code name “Evergreen” on September 10th; ahead of Windows 7’s launch in late October..

For AMD, these 40-nm, Microsoft DX11-compliant GPUs will fundamentally change the graphics industry and give it a clear advantage over Nvidia, again!

The prior generation of ATI cards was such high performance and so cheap that they forced Nvidia to hastily put together competitive video cards.

Everyone is saying that the 5xxx are going to change the face of gaming. But what about the GTX3xx? I am sure the engineers in the green and black camp arent sitting around watching sales figures of the GTX295.

nvidia already has very optimised drivers for Win7 so I am sure they are holding something huge in their labs.

Aaah.... I love this feeling... of knowing I made a right choice to skip 4xxx series last month and save my money for next series instead. I've 3870 and not more than month ago I ALMOST bought 4870. Thankfully, my senses reeled back just in time. :P

Plus, since I'm already on Win7, it only made sense to invest in DX11 GPU, knowing it's just around the corner.

Bring it on... DAMMIT... !!!

is there any game that uses DX11 specific features??

Dont think initially there would be any that would use DX 11 features, it might be a good 6 to 7 months before we see some title with DX11 features

Hardly.... Now we do have simultaneous launches in India... Most companies take ~1-2 weeks max for new product arrivals in India...

Will have to see how they perform n also what NVIDIA has got into their bad.

It's not that case for GPU's. India is becoming largests market for GPU. I won't wonder if new series launch itself would take place in INDIA in near future.:D
