I have a MSI K9A2 platinum V2 with BIOS 1.7.

I tried with Windows 2003, Vista, Win 2008 fresh installation . then also it's taking up to 2,3 mins to boot in 2003.

and 4,5,6 minutes to boot in VISTA and Win 2008 fresh installation.

when i googled some people are mentioning it's the problem with my msi motherboard, any one experienced this ?.

my config is as follows.

Phenom-II 920 - 2.80Ghz
MSI K9A2 platinum V2 with BIOS 1.7

3 x 500GB , 1 x 1TB HDD
Samsing DVD Writer,
Zotac GEFORCE 9600GT AMP Edition

I have tthat mobo and I had the same problem; the system would take over 2 minutes to boot up, and even installing windows 7 (which should take little) took over an hour. I solved the problem by enabling PCI IDE BusMaster in the bios setup. I also enabled prefetch buffer but I'm not sure that helped at all.

Hope this helps
