Whats the price for Sennheiser CX500 locally here in India? and also for CX 550?

If you want to buy the CX500 in India all I can advice is - please dont !!!

Instead get the CX400 from KMD. It should come to something like 1.5k shipped to your house.

The reason I say go for CX400 is that the drivers are the SAME as the CX500. The only difference is that the CX500 come with some (allegedly) better tips.

A bit offtopic, but which would be a better-than-entry-level Sennheiser/Similar headphones (not earphones). Budget upto 3.5K. Is there any?

yeah i know CX400 is pretty much the same as CX500 and also know that its much cheaper in US. but i just need to know the price here.

CX400 is around 2.9k here i guess. CX500 should be even more than that i think.

@Doc Holliday - Get the Nuforce NE-7M from KMD. awesome earphones. should be inside/around that budget. :)

If you up your budget a bit to 5k you can get some nice options like the Audio Technica A700 or the Allesandro MS-1

Prolly yes, a dud i know ordered it from same link paid rs. 600-700 and got it from hongkong 2 days ago. i am yet to see it myself but i am curious :no:

Its true. There are lots of fakes in market. I saw PX200 for 1200 odd bucks the other day in a shop. It even sounded decent similar to my PX100. Though build quality was a bit inferior. The shopkeeper was furious when I said I will check back later :bleh:

You need to know who to buy it from, I have bot twice from ebay.com, both times are 2k and both genuine.

I have no way to confirm this but I read somewhere that the chinese "fakes" & the original sennheiser buds sound the same.
It was believed that when Sennheiser outsourced their IEM driver manufacturing to china the design was copied en-mass & since then the fakes have flooded the market.
