hi huys,
ive zeroed down on 2 laptops.....one is the Compaq Presario V6608AU with AMD TURION TL-58 1.9GHZ and the other is Acer Aspire 4720 with the C2D 1.5ghz.
I wanted to ask which of these two would be a better buy in terms of their performance, graphics and batter life, irrespective of their cost.........
Also i read that the Amd is a better processor and the NVidia 7150 would give me better graphics and performance.....is this right?? should i go for the amd turion ????

V6608 is discontinued, but you can still grab it from Nehru Place Delhi. I got it for my cousin on 5th of march. And I am impressed with it. I got it for 29500+bag. Shop was "Cost 2 cost".
Discontinued doesn't mean that its a bad deal to make... as you will get the same warranty and support from the company.

Congrats for the laptop :)
my chat with the shopkeeper @ nehru place revealed that several times a discontinued product will come minus any significant price cuts because the machine is still in high demand and the supply is short. it is interesting to see how even with laptops prices vary within the same week at the same shop depending on the demand-supply scale. and yes, u do get the same company warranty and everything...most of the time the same parts..just packaged differently.
