I take out the lint filter. Clean all the debris from it. Then I use a brush [scotch brite one medium size] and handwash to it. Next I use the LG descaler [although I have a whirlpool machine, but i guess a descaler is universal] and use it with TUB CLEAN mode. I DO NOT use any fabric during this cleaning procedure. After the cycle is finishes, i simply use an old T shirt to wipe everything clean. But this time around I followed your guide, and my god the water that came out was way much more dirty than what I had anticipated. I will have to follow the process for 3-4 more cycles. But one thing i noticed that using Vanish tends to leave some water stain on the inside of the drum. Is that normal? or did I use way too much vanish powder?
