Hindi Series Discuss (neflix, amazon prime, youtube, etc.)

I recently saw "Crimes Aaj Kal" on Amazon MiniTV with intention to watch something side by side while working, without having much expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that the show actually taking into account so many things which may be affecting the teens and young adults today. I really feel it is a show one should recommend to your teenage son or daughter to see so they don't screw their life for things that don't matter usually but unfortunately it is life from them at that stage and as parents it is very difficult to make them understand.
Like mobile game addiction, getting affected by social media comments, revenge porn, fake account on social media to do online harassment, love causing murder etc.
can watch along with family including teen/young children's?
I agree with you, somehow post covid there has been an increase in senseless movies!!! Bollywood has really lost its footing. I also feel OTT getting throttled with freedom in the past year or so. Don't know if there have been a change in regulations or what; missed those early days of OTT. :)
OTT slowly turning towards Bl$e Films. Unable to watch with family & children's.
Understand that INDUSTRY (Business Strategy) want every one to buy Separate Mobile/TV/Cable Connection etc. to watch SUCH MOVIES/Videos alone or with like minded ... gone days when full family can seat together and enjoy movies/serials etc.

Saw Kho Gaye Hum Kha ( Netflix)
I watched it and finish it in two sittings. It got little dramatic but still decent I say.

The movie carries social message for gen Z and anyone hook too much on social network and sharing their private life in open and also getting influenced by other people's life.

It was actually a decent watch and acting was good by Siddhant, Ananya and Adarsh.

Teens definitely and it is targeted to them. I believe that if you have a boy or girl which is 13 years or higher, show them for sure as they are more influenced by all the things happening around and esp with bad "friends".
Also I have been personally been thru "ghar ka bhedi Lanka dhaae" situation in my home so I know what bad company does and how it literally destroys lives and breaks homes and relationships.

I'm really SCARED of OTT series/movies after watching Paatalkok & Samantar series along with family.

Wait a year or two, I would say, but definitely do show them. There might be some foul language I don't completely remember. Obviously there is no nudity or anything. But most important is what these episodes try to convey, how teens Make mistakes And do crime at very young age just for some money. Or sometimes it's not not even money. Just they want to have fun.

Took a chance and gave this a watch:

Lootere (2024)

I mainly picked it up because it had Rajat Kapoor. Show in spite of having loopholes isn't half bad. Acting from the cast is decent and story kept things interesting. I would have liked the show to have come to an end like a mini-series but alas it keeps one hanging in hopes of a Season 2.

3. Classic Chandragputa Maurya (2011-12) - (105 Episodes)

One of the greatest shows in the history of Indian Television. The dark realities of the "Nanda Empire" and the struggles of Chandragupta and Chnakya are beautifully encapsulated in this. The channel was abruptly shut down in 2012 and thereby, the show was stopped midway. There was political interference in the show (afaik). No idea how anybody could even come up with the idea to interfere in something this grand. The modern Chandragupta Maurya being aired at the moment doesn't even come close. The new show feels like some fantasy fiction with masala and drama.

Link:

With such an enigmatic culture and hospitality they also significantly hold a contrasting patriarchal and matriarchal society. This show takes you on a trip like never before!

I will post my opinion here. Not sure if you'd agree with me but I'll say what I feel. Nud*** and s** sells. There is great content every now and then but generally speaking, the content quality is on a free fall. OTT platforms are filled with vulgarity and po**. You can't keep your kid away from that for long. It's inevitable that they'll be exposed to all that. We need to preemptively educate them about life and love so that they don't learn it from wannabe p**nstars. The need of the hour is to educate young generations that love is not just s** unlike what the entertainment industry wants you to believe. They need se* education but not without warning them of the potential of brainwashing on the web. Open up any se*-ed and they'd start preaching p*rn is cool, normal and recommend to fa*. Kids need to be taught that talking about se* doesn't make somebody cool. That p*rn is simple objectification of women which desensitises and dehumanises people. That h00kup culture is the shittiest thing that humans ever came up with. That watching po** and fa**** is not the way of life like wanna be por***** are preaching in the veil of science.

Anybody reading this post is free to disagree with what I wrote in the paragraph above. In that case, please feel free to shift the focus back to my compilation right above.
