Hello guys

Looking to buy a 15 inch full keyboard layout laptop that can play games also

Requirements are regular office work, sometimes games like fps, rts etc.

Should be at least 3050 or comparable or higher. Also should be room to upgrade ram and storage in future.

Please suggest, also is there any sale coming on Flipkart or Amazon so I can wait or new gen processor coming

Thanks

What is a comparable graphic card to nvidias 3050 from amd. ??

Where rx 5500 and 6500 stands against Nvidia 3050 ?

Also is it good idea to get i5 12th gen considering new 13th gen are just now coming in market ?

1650 < 5500M ~ 6500M < 3050

5500M is 15% or so better than 1650. 3050 80W will surely be at least 15% faster than 5500M. 6500M seems similar in performance to 5500M.

I mostly recommend Ryzen 5000 because it's still good & more efficient than Intel (better battery life & better performance at low TDP, like many laptops cap CPU at 35W & Intel 12th gen usually starts shining beyond 45W for a noticeable performance gap against Ryzne 5000). AMD also knows this, so just rebranded it & selling it under Ryzen 7000 even now.

Another big reason I don't recommend 12th gen is price, Ryzen 5000 powered 2021 laptops are usually noticeably cheaper than 2022 models. 2023 models will end up being very expensive initially. Some 2022 laptop models are starting to get cheaper, but 2021 models are going OOS.
I am in same boat for brother Laptop and was considering https://www.amazon.in/Pavilion-Micro-Edge-Anti-Glare-Graphics-15-Ec2048Ax/dp/B0BFX97YJC but there are few bad reviews about battery so not going for it unless someone finds a fix.
Regarding Dell its bulky also my only concern is if it still comes with infamous 100% Hard Disk issue. I couldn't fix even after several troubleshooting
People are claiming 60-75W TDP for GPU. So most likely in games it runs at 60W in combined load, in some very less CPU demanding games, it might run at 75W, but usually won't happen. That Dell one I linked earlier has an 80W GPU in combined load, Victus has 75W in combined load if I remember correctly.

Wow that was good explanation..

I am definitely not going for 1650 or anything less than 12gen

But I never thought about ryzen because they always have this confusing naming style .. which makes difficult to understand the hierarchy of processor.

I am eying on i5 12gen with 3050

Or

Ryzen 7000 with some good graphics card... So I get DDR5 support

But I am open for ryzen 5000 with 6600 or 3050 provided it's a steal deal.

Are we expecting any upcoming sale on Amazon or Flipkart or any price drop.

Biggest sale is the Diwali sale. There was some sale on amazon & FK in May.

For 70k, 3050 is the minimum you should get. I don't expect 6600M at this budget. I already linked a Ryzen 6000 + 3050 G15 earlier, still a decent deal if size & weight aren't an issue.
