LG GH22NS30 issue

just bought a LG GH22NS30,
the problem is i cant get it to work. any possible solutions?

The things i have tried already

1) Checked with all the sata ports, sata cables different power cables, still doesnt get detected in bios......

2) Updated the bios from 1675 to 1755 (DG965RY) still no use.....

3) now this is where i m stumped i have a sata HDD casing i connected the device to it to check and it got detected but couldnt use it as it didnt define drive paths to it didnt load up as a external device just got a message the hardware is installed and ready to use

so any solutions?
