Samsung P2350 23" Full HD Monitor

Is there any 24inch or more Full HD display available in the market in 20K range?

AFAIK, the lavender series is available in only 21.5" and 23"..

Spec mentions that it has composite video.
So does that mean I Can connect normal DVD player/ dth composite video output to this monitor using RCA cable?

does anyone have any idea abt its availability and pricing in Mumbai ??

Hey I just bought this beauty 2day... i'hd been on the hunt for the best LCD monitor in my budget(which was 15k)..
Initially i was confused as to wat to buy..LCD monitor or a LCD TV..but aftr doin some research finally came to d conclusion that a LCD monitor can easily turn to a fine LCD TV bt not vice versa..although nwdays many LCD Tv's are coming with VGA or DVI input picture quality will always be the best on a LCD monitor.. ok leave this aside..why to discuss bout other wen i just dont hv enuf time to praise this beauty(try to understnd my excitement..i jus cant stop admiring this product)..
Samsung has always hd the best LCD monitors.. but this product has no comparison in its segment..
1.Best in Class features(50000:1 dynamic contrast ratio)-Know wat in its pure contrast setting the picture delivered has so much contrast that u can easily watch a crisp video sitting 20mtrs away..
2.Adjustable response time(2ms at fastest setting)
3.Coming to the Sophisticated Touch buttons for menu ..u jus need one very light feather touch to turn thse buttons on.
4.Beautiful glossy exteriors..(nt the screen) with a tinge of Red over the pure black body is sure to make anyone envious of ur prized possesion..
5.In short its a mind blowing product ... far far better than any other LCd under 15k range..
6.I bought it for 12K frm bangalore..

1. SAmsung P2350 ( con - no hdmi) - unknown price here
2. AOC 2434pw (con - no dvi) - Rs 14870
3. Dell G2410 (con - no hdmi) Rs 14000

I am looking for a monitor which is either not wide-screen, or is of sufficient "height" - I did not find the 19" Samsung monitors good as the height was less.

Also, this might sound totally noob, but can we use these monitors with a Dishtv/tata sky connection ? If yes, how ?

Hey thanks for the helpful review. Got the P2350, and I am really happy, some very crisp pictures, with a better then expected viewing angle (as compared to Del 2208WFP) although Dell supposedly scores with a glossy screen, I like the non glossy screens as they dont cause a headache if light reflection is high. Had a choice between Benq G2401HD, and this picked this for 11.8K in Prime, purely because of the Samsung ASS.

@OP what calibration settings are you using?

Edit: For the poster asking on the 3 monitors, there is a huge difference between DVI input and VGA input, picture quality on videos is extremely blocky in Analog signal (VGA). There is no difference between the HDMI input and DVI input apart from the HDMI can carry HD audio signals too and HDCP content playback (now if you are using a lot of region-locked BR discs, it would be an issue not otherwise and of course the consoles ). I have not heard about the Dell monitor you listed, but the Samsung monitor is worth the price.

if i will connect this monitor to ps3 via hdmi -> dvi how much descaling of signal will b there....??

^^ Not sure about that. But Nemesis is using a conversion without issues.

@Sathyanaidu: I am using a friends DVI cable provided with Dell, as he is using HDMI

^^Absolutely no change in the quality. You'd get the same quality had the PS3 been plugged using a HDMI cable. AFAIK DVI does not support digital audio though and I may as well be wrong.
