Xonar U1 USB Audio Station

Got my hands on this little UFO about 4 weeks back when I got sick and fed up of sound output of my laptop. Looking around the internet, I found this strange little thing called the ‘Xonar’ USB Audio Station and it looked like a UFO plus it said Dolby® Digital on the specifications. Frankly speaking, I was pretty hyped up about the ‘Chandrayaan’ project and having my very own UFO spewing out Dolby music on the go for a moderate budget of 4k seemed a pretty exciting proposition!

So far, this isn’t sounding much of a review and more of a rant, but here goes, anyways …

Brought one today, tested the sound output with my Desktop PC with the following configuration: DG35EC M Board. E 7400 Core 2 duo processor 2 GB of Ram running Vista 32 bit. The quality of the sound it gives out is awesome, found tremendous increase in sound quality. will test recording/mixing some karaoke tracks tomorrow. Actually that was my primary purpose of getting this as this has a built in karaoke feature with Mic echo.

I bought one recently from SMCinternational ..... awesome for portable uses as well as for powering Mid end Hp's
