Hey guys,

Just wanted to drop a quick note since I'm a newbie here in Tech Enclave. Recently purchased some parts from this site called FPSCRIB - https://fpscrib.com. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical at first because the prices seemed too good to be true. Being in Haryana and finding out the company is in Gurgaon, I figured, why not give it a shot?

So, I took the plunge and had a chat with the owner. They explained the low prices by not charging GST since they don't have a GSTIN. Talked me through it, and I decided to order on January 4th using my credit card (they did slap on a 2.5% processing fee, but hey, better safe than sorry with a credit card, right?).

Fast forward to January 5th, got an email saying there were some hiccups with their bank account, and my order would be delayed by 2 weeks. No biggie for me since I was traveling anyway. Finally got my delivery on January 19th, all parts in place, and looking legit with import stickers and intact seals. I even double-checked the product warranty through brand pages.

Now, here's the kicker - they didn't provide a GST invoice, just one with their PAN number. Does that affect my warranty? Overall, happy with the service and would recommend, as long as not having a GST number on the invoice won't mess with the warranty.

Cheers :)

Well, they are pretty open about it in their FAQs -

6. How are your prices so low compared to others in the market?

We keep our prices low by listing them without taxes initially. If you need an invoice with applicable GST (usually 18%), we can arrange that. Otherwise, you'll receive a simple receipt of purchase. Additionally, to streamline the warranty process, customers can send products to us via courier for efficient handling of warranty claims.

7. What's the difference between a receipt and an invoice?

Okay! Think of a receipt as your shopping buddy – it shows what you bought, how much you paid, and helps with returns. It's straightforward and to the point! On the other hand, an invoice is more like a shopping list that includes all the details – what you bought, taxes, and seller/buyer info. We provide receipts for your purchases, and if needed, we can also give you an invoice with additional info for your records. Both are here to make sure your buying experience is smooth and worry-free!

Personally, I would avoid them.

I purchased few items from them, will my warranty be voided? Because i have got a receipt only with their Company Name and PAN details. Seems like an invoice, prices are mentioned but without GST.

yeah they mentioned something like they don't need to pay taxes because their turnover is less than 20 lakhs. Which i looked upon internet and found this quora post
That sounds like a batshit insane idea for an e-commerce store where every transaction is digital with a paper trail. Advertising the fact that they're dodging taxes is nuts too. Either this guy will end up in jail, or he's very, very close to the ruling party. Or he's just lying about all of this, of course.

With a little bit of digging, found out that the person behind fpscrib is the same guy behind it-tude site. Rest I leave it to you to figure out what it-tude was infamous for.
Oh crap! Did law enforcement agencies do nothing even after repeated scams?

If his physical location is known. (office premises)
Filing complaint at local police station is enough..
Finding his location for paying him money in cash for a big order, can easily attract mosquitoes.

According to their FAQ, that is a receipt and not an invoice. Last time I got a receipt (handwritten) was when I bought a bulb socket from the neighbourhood electrical shop. As far as warranty -

You can try registering the product and see.
Getting a gst invoice for a bulb socket is as good as installing a screw in your car at a official service center and enjoy the gst bill of 100 bucks for a Rs 10 screw and get screwed!

I have a feeling that this guy creates scams by shipping some legit orders and building a credibility with a limited number of people. All he needs is a critical mass of orders so that he accumulates sufficient cash which he can decamp with and disappear into the world wide ether. Rinse and repeat follows with other websites.

The deepthrottleguy is one of the lucky first few customers who would at best be at risk for warranty claim, provided the product does conk out within that period. There will be many more posts on this forum in future I believe which would have a different saga of their own.

The selling product without taxes part is pure baloney. This should in itself be a red flag for potential buyers.
