Query Which Inkjet Printer

Gonna buy an inkjet printer tomorrow here are the choices that i have :

HP Deskjet 1460 = 1775

HP DeskJet D2460 = 2300

Canon Pixma iP1880- 1900

Now i have no idea about which is a better deal, but im leaning towards the 1460 because its cheap and refillable. But quite a lot of guys have bought the Pixma iP1880, so some inputs on the reliability and whether the cartridges can be refilled or not would be great.

Cheers,
Rushabh.

The Pixma iP1880 is a photo printer and comes in 2 cartridges: Dye color cartridge and pigment black cartridge;

Easy to use and maintain;

Borderless printing is fast and the print looks pretty decent as my dad uses this printer at his office;

The best part being the prints if done on a glossy paper, look as if it was a photo-lab quality printouts;

Price seems to have come low;

The HP 1460 seems to be the entry level deskjet;

Not sure abt the photo prints from the same so cant comment on that;

But the monochrome prints and normal color prints should be decent IMO.

My vote - Pixma iP 1880;

PS: Dont resort to refilling of cartridges; IMO its not worthy enough when u can get black cartridges for more or less +100/200 bucks; Spillage is another common problem with refilling;
Canon have decently priced their refills as well so u need not resort to refilling;

Please do tell us which cartridges this printer uses. AFAIK it uses the PG40 and CL41 which cost about 2000 bucks for the pair. What cheap cartridge do you say it uses?
