Viewsonic VX2255: Good?

Hi,
was planning to purchase the Viewsonic VX2255. Is this monitor good? any pros or cons? How does it compare to the Dell 22"?

The site lists this monitor as being capable of displaying 16.7 million colors, but is a TN panel.

Is this worth it at around 21k all inclusive or is the Dell a better monitor (if price is not the issue) ?

its good vivek but not worth it. the vx2235 is for 18.1k

& i am getting the aoc 210v today. same specs as the dell. getting it for 16700rs locally. let me know if u can also find out the price for it.

samsung 226 is also good but its priced insanely high. i got a quote of 26.5k for it.

The new samsung 226BW C-version seems to be Che-Mei TN panel only . Beware of C-version, people r nw reporting even 4th version

Anyway for the AOC 210v here is a color profile with the Spyder

@Stormy---plz post some pics & post the results with this profile as the stock colors seems to be somewhat screwed up in this panel

sadly after placing the order. i got a call sometime back telling that the aoc still havent arrived. will take 10 - 15days to come.

so i guess will prolly get the viewsonic vx2235

I would suggest you to go for the VG2230wm as its supposedly better with height adjustment & 360 degree swivel. Usually VG panels are better in viewsonic. So have a look before you buy.

i think aoc 210v is better than viewsonic vx2235
and it does not cost more

viewsonic vx2235 does seem to have HDCP
viewsonic vx2235 Contrast Ratio 700:1 when comparing to aoc 210v which is 2000:1

I am using the VX2235wm....and its FANTASTIC!!!
Im a graphic designer and imho you cant really get much better than this. I got it from Lamington for ~19,000.....The AOC is a good deal too because of the HDCP...but they are relatively new to the market and i would still go with the viewsonic....go out and get the VX you wont regret it!

yes i know the specs etc. but that contrast ratio on aoc is boasted just like some other asus & samsung lcds.

also the thing is i need it today & i cant wait. so ive ordered the vx2235. i have already seen the vx2235 screen b4 & found it very good.

@ anirudh - vg2230 is out of stock & not available anymore. i think the model is discontinued.
