    Hello all ,

I was looking for a comfortable keyboard with smooth touch and smooth press keys .

After reading some, have read that this mechanical keyboard is one of the best .

So does it really fit my requirements . The thing is am not able to find any youtube video or any reviews online . Here when typed in search its not giving any results . Always says you have used less than 4 letters which is not allowed when i type tvs or tvse .

And when I just type gold keyboard am not able to find out again .

I dont really like a lot of noise , so is the noise feedback too loud ? .

Please reply and thanks for your time .

Also while reading specifications , I havent read Windows 7 in compatible Operating systems .

Hope it is compatible with Windows 7 too .

Check the first few links there. Should help you. And yes the keyboard works OOTB with Windows 7.

Im using one, and is very much satisfied with it. And it does make a lot of noise, probably close to a type writer

But the keys has excellent feedback. Not sure of the longevity, but all buttons have excellent feel on typing, and we actually know if a button press is registered or not, by the feel/feedback when we type, and the clicking noise on each key press register. Been using logitech soft touch, and dell MM keyboard, but this is the best so far, but its L*B is lot more than normal keyboards, so fiding enough room for it another problem. Mine has conquered half of my mouse mat area.

^Is it the same model that was available in the '90s or have they upgraded it?

It now comes in black, has USB interface, and has indian rupee custom button and spots the same old cherry blue MX buttons inside. The surface is textured giving it a hard surface feeling, and the edges are rounded in one direction and costs appx >1.5k

Hmm.. So I see not much of an upgrade but hell, why fix it if it ain't broken? BTW, how is it when compared to dedicated gaming laptop?

Thanks a lot Mr Gannu and Dominator .

If the sound is like a typewriter than it would really irritate me .

Am stuck here , I need a good typing keyboard , these crappy keyboards dont do for me . Mechanical is the answer and TVSE gold is probably the cheapest workhorse .

The physical feed back that they talk about is a rapid key rebound or a gentle one ? ,

I had an Iball keyboard which had feedback like its literally throwing your finger back .

Space is no problem for me .

It seems blue switches do make some noise but they are the best for typing right ? . I hardly do any gaming , not for me .

What should I do , any other suggestion ? .

They are soft, and the feedback is gentle. But makes a clicking noise. Im used to it now, and its a pleasant sound for me atleast (now) . Have used many touch type and normal multimedia keyboards, which I felt soft, but after using this, I can safely say, this is more softer and pleasant to type, forget the noise.

you will love them , it does make noise but it wont be irritating and the feeling of pressing them keys is awesome !

longevity wise they are on par with the best keyboards, will last 5-10+ years without problems even on heavy usage.

try them i dont think you will be disappointed . else you can sell them here , gold always fetches a good price here .

Thanks a lot friends , I ll see if I can get hold of someone who already has it but its highly unlikely . The local shops also dont really keep this keyboard . The ones that have are very far .

Which one would you recommend ? . I was thinking of Ps2 one because it would keep the usb bus free .

But dont know if PS/2 would become extinct in the future ! .

    Or I should buy a PS/2 and also a Ps2 with ps2 to usb converter .

I tried to find videos but there is no youtube video of the keyboard , It would be really helpful if someone could post their or find some video of the keyboard .

    Thanks once again .

You can sell them to me . even a slight discount from its original price is more than welcome . And about the video, the keyboard looks plain. No eye candies. Also you can see it for yourself at shops billing desks or places like that or at dtp centers. But they might be using its older white version PS/2 or even the DIn ones. But the sound should be similar. Nowadays I can't imagine typing without this sound. This sound is what making me believe I m still typing .

And I would recommend USB ones, as a keyboard would hardly tax the USB bus, unless you are connecting some 10+ keyboards at the same time . Also do invest in a USB to PS2 only when you need it, else it would be a waste of money.

I bought a TVS Gold not more than 15 days back. And I wanted to own one since I bought my first PC 7-8 years back. I loved the old white ones more though, Keys are very soft, prompt but gentle feedback, good spacing among keys, looks like a basic keyboard, but its carved, so very well suited for typing. the sound is like a typewriter, but not that loud. once you start using it, you will love the sound, but it won't do good for you if you are on phone while typing though. I have been busted few times already
