Anyways, any proof that theses shops sell duplicate items or should we just stop buying from them since you bought something duplicate from one of them?

IMO, if you ask for a duplicate you can get a duplicate in any hardware shop. You must know the price the duplicate sells for though. else they can charge you almost the same as original.
thx...title changed
proofs are many but very less expose them anywhere.
you can dig TE threads, read on tomshardware or Google for the same you will get to know a lot

those asking for duplicates should blame themselves and not shop.
they are liable for their own acts.

dont know about McCanns never been there..
but yes the mentioned shops give proper bill and if by chance if they wont you can insist them and ask how to claim the warranty on the challan.

The one mahavir electronics i mentioned is the same you are talking. On second thoughts i think he would be giving the challan because it was an oem drive. So sony service center wont take it as happened to me when my sony dvd writer went bad. Anyways am about to buy a new dvd writer which shop would you people recommend. Should be giving the best price otherwise i might buy it locally here it sells around 1.2k.

Hey im with bharat on this one. I have bought stuff from Prompt since the last 4 yrs and have never faced any problems. Infact i think they r quiet helpful to noobs in terms of service or advice. Cassette world too has been around since ages and i don't remember anyone complaining about them.

Does the guy who created this post have any proof?? Have you been cheated by anyone yourself or you just decided to create a post on a lazy Sunday?

ps: i am simply a customer and i don't have any personal connection with any of these stores but i am a businessman myself and i can clearly see the damage that can be caused by such reckless posts.....

dont be harsh dude. well you may be the lucky ones.

Some time back a friend bought a new system from promt and all was well until one day. He went to buy a graphic card and he was sold sm lower edition china made card at price much higher wherein if he had put extra 1000 wud have got higher edition card. Though he was a noob he was his regular customer but is this the way they helped him and that too then charged him like anything. The card seriously sucked in every game. He did went asking for replacement after 2 days but he was given a typical reason....oos time pr market rate high tha...WTF And on that day the price for that card was what it should be. In any market the cost wont fluctuate so much like 1200 bucks.

Also read here: My 9600GT not performing as expected

People even have -ve remarks about prime abgb at times and why not. he isnt god sent here to trade. right???

Cassette world is always in news for some thing or another so forget it.

and what you think i have no other work or what apart from creating such thread. Yes yesterday was Sunday and i wast drunk ( damn sure). I have no intentions of hurting anyone or to affect anybody's business.

Here everybody does business and there's both good n bad in it. Some of us will post his bad exp. about a shop and some others may oppose the same and post good about them. Every shop has its own story to tell. You opposed me and said good about the shop. Tomorrow you may oppose some other shops and people might oppose you.

After all its all pure business in the end.

Better wait and watch. After all it is an open discussion and everyone has equal right to speakbleh:

Its all getting more n more hot and interesting here..
