    Hi

I'm looking forward to upgrading my SMPS. I really wanted the Corsair HX 520 but it has issues with my APC back-UPS RS 800 because of active PFC and simulated sine wave from the UPS. Can you guys please recommend me a good modular PSU between 500-600 Watts that does not have an issue with my UPS?

    Thanks for your help

    Have a nice day

    Ritesh

HX520 aint avl in India. Other modular is HX620 which too has issues. TX650 seems good alternative, U can always throw useless cables in corner. or Tagan 700W or above. and CM Real Power/Green Power etc have also modular SMPS.

TX750W has issues too and TX650 might have them as well. Actually any thing with Active PFCs will present with problems.

Do not get the CM600. It has deltas upto .8V on the 12V rail, on most pieces, which are excessive and well out of spec. Also it is very very noisy.

Most people who have a CM Extreme power 600 want to get rid of it.

Maybe get a VX450 or something better instead.

The UPS battery costs ~700 bucks.... change your battery first & see if the problem persists... if it does then only change the SMPS....

"if it does then only change the SMPS...." I wanted to change it anyway as this is almost 4 years old.

The APC died by chance..has nothing to do with the starting of this thread.
