I am a leftie using this mouse. Got used to it though,so no problem if someone decides to buy it and is a left hander. Still a good deal.
By the way, are there any good ambidextrous mouse that are affordable(under 3k) and are good for gaming?

Only one i can think of wud be the Razer Lachesis, but thats priced at 4.4k's .. but its a damm good mouse i must suggest ..

Oh btw, i try to be impartial when i suggest stuff to pple. I've tried and tested over 10 gaming mice till date and i'd say when it comes to pure performance combined with feature, Logitech G5 wins hand down. I cud go on the details if anyone likes to, but i rather leave that for another topic. MS IE3.0 has good tracking, but a 450 dpi mouse with a guarantee or crappy side buttons is never going to be a mouse i'd suggest open heartedly to anyone .. MX518 pwns it anyday ..

^^ I'll tell you.

People don't like Habu because they think its a failure. Many people consider it as a trend and keep on talking stuff which technically doesn't make any sense at all.

All I can see with the Habu is that it was not VFM. But who cares tbh? You have a 7G keyboard selling for 10 Grands locally. Then you have this SS Warcraft Edition Mice which I saw selling for 13 odd grands in front of my eyes , still cannot believe it.

So I don't think money should be taken into consideration. There isn't any other problem with MS Habu IMO.

BTW , @ deathvirus_me - Razer Lachesis is not at all recommended for 1.6! (For CSS , TF2 , L4D etc. it's completely fine though!)

The tracking is absolute BS and a total failure! Have used it for a couple of months and for the price it comes for, perhaps the MS Optical USB mouse wins hands down lol!

^The prev. gen MX518 works rock solid for those who've got it back then. The ones which were released post 2007 had a massive price reduction from around 2.5k odd (IIRC!) to 1.5k which's the current retail pricing.

With the price reduction came the quality reduction. You may want to check out this thread: Logitech MX518 - Rubber grip peeling off with use

I'd mine peel off after a period of 6 months. I'd mailed to Logitech, Australia for an RMA and they promptly obliged! Sold off the mouse to someone and passed the copy of the mail so that he could claim the replacement.

U'mm i actually play CS1.6 with the Lachesis and find its just fine (i dont know whether i shud say better) .. i dont game at 4000 dpi with my Lachesis, primarily coz of

(i) max. 60 IPS at 4000 dpi, confirmed by Razer.
(ii) 4000 dpi is an overkill even for 1080p res.

I play at 1000 dpi @ 500 Hz with my Lachesis, and now taking every other feature that the Lachesis has to offer in consideration, particularly the high IPS and the low lift-off distance i rate it better than the G5 too .. and though i'm not a regular CS1.6 player, i still pwn when i game with my Lachesis ..

MS IE3.0 is recommended for CS1.6 ?? And thats it ?? like i said earlier, a 450 dpi mouse with the shittiest side buttons ever is a recommended buy ?? I'd rate the MX518 over it anyday .. cost less, adjustable dpi and has a good feel to the overall build ..

End of the day i'd rather not force anyone into buying anything .. but i'd say buy something considering every aspect of ur use. Whether u decide to invest on a guaranteed flawed mice or a mice with too high specs is your choice entirely. ..

Also regarding the Habu, i too am sad for people bashing it so much. I've used it myself and i kinda like the idea of adjustable side buttons .. the price tag is higher than the Copperhead and thats obvious with the MS branding .. I dont recommended anyone to buy the Habu coz u have better alternatives at that price point. If someone like the ergonomics of the MS IE3.0, and want better features, then Habu wud be the next ideal step ..

Well I'm not sure how much you are into the CS scene.
But 90% + of the Professional Counter-Strike players be it either from fnatic , SK , mTw , mousesports , Alternate , EG , roccat etc use MS Intelli 3.0 !

Obviously it's price is not as high as the Habu and Death Adder but the teams and the players I am talking about speak itself.

If you still don't believe me , go here - GotFrag eSports - Competitive Gaming News, Features, Movies, Content and Community and have a look at how many CS 1.6 users use intelli 3.0.

Obviously Tech wise I can argue with you full day that Razer Mamba is the best mouse ever with the best ever tracking! But that won't make sense because we are talking in terms of 1.6 and vfm.

MX518 , the new one is completely BS with LQ finishing and the sudden price drop as mentioned earlier in this thread speaks for itself!

Thanks for the suggestion but now i am confused all the more...

Many people may find this stupid but what the heck here it goes.

What are you take for razer Mamba. I got a discount link on amazon.com where in getting it for 80$. Now i have a friend is U.S who is coming down next month.

Do you think its worth getting the mouse for 4k???
or should i consider anything else?
