All I can see with the Habu is that it was not VFM. But who cares tbh? You have a 7G keyboard selling for 10 Grands locally. Then you have this SS Warcraft Edition Mice which I saw selling for 13 odd grands in front of my eyes , still cannot believe it.
So I don't think money should be taken into consideration. There isn't any other problem with MS Habu IMO.
BTW , @ deathvirus_me - Razer Lachesis is not at all recommended for 1.6! (For CSS , TF2 , L4D etc. it's completely fine though!) |
U'mm i actually play CS1.6 with the Lachesis and find its just fine (i dont know whether i shud say better) .. i dont game at 4000 dpi with my Lachesis, primarily coz of
(i) max. 60 IPS at 4000 dpi, confirmed by Razer.
(ii) 4000 dpi is an overkill even for 1080p res.
I play at 1000 dpi @ 500 Hz with my Lachesis, and now taking every other feature that the Lachesis has to offer in consideration, particularly the high IPS and the low lift-off distance i rate it better than the G5 too .. and though i'm not a regular CS1.6 player, i still pwn when i game with my Lachesis ..
MS IE3.0 is recommended for CS1.6 ?? And thats it ?? like i said earlier, a 450 dpi mouse with the shittiest side buttons ever is a recommended buy ?? I'd rate the MX518 over it anyday .. cost less, adjustable dpi and has a good feel to the overall build

..
End of the day i'd rather not force anyone into buying anything .. but i'd say buy something considering every aspect of ur use. Whether u decide to invest on a guaranteed flawed mice or a mice with too high specs is your choice entirely. ..
Also regarding the Habu, i too am sad for people bashing it so much. I've used it myself and i kinda like the idea of adjustable side buttons .. the price tag is higher than the Copperhead and thats obvious with the MS branding .. I dont recommended anyone to buy the Habu coz u have better alternatives at that price point. If someone like the ergonomics of the MS IE3.0, and want better features, then Habu wud be the next ideal step ..
