Default Planning to buy Dell 2408WFP

I am right now planning to buy a new monitor for my house.
The size of the monitor should be atleast 24" and it should support Full HD resolution.
My main purpose is to watch Movies(got lot of HD stuff on comp)
Gaming a little bit but not that much.
and I want a good viewing angle.
The budget is approxiamtely 30 to 32k.

Dell 2408wfp support 178 degree viewing angle.
Colors r good.
I have heard about the input lag in it.
So is the monitor good for movies
No TN monitor.
Btw i m planning to get Airtel DTH also and planning to connect it to the monitor.
So i needed a multi functional monitor.
Or should i put a little more and get a Decent LCD TV of samsung/sony.
But it should support 1080p.
This monitor is going to last atleast 3 to 4years.
By that time I will have a Blu Ray player so 1080p is a necessity.
Color reproduction,Screen Size,Color Contrast.
All the things which make a movie look good on a display should be there on the monitor/TV.
I may add some other features whenever i remember.
And could u tell me where i can buy the Dell Monitor in Mumbai.
And what will be it cost.
Thanks in advance.

2408wfp is surely a good choice. Go for it.

The so called input lag is not so much of an issue that people make it to be. Its a superb monitor for the money and is loaded in terms of input options.

Thanks for that but i wanted to know is there any other monitor better than this.
Which i doubt but there can be some other LCD TV or something else.
I personally like all Dell 2408wfp it has all the features.
Next thing is that Whom should i ask to get the monitor.
I enquired with the Dell people they quoted me around 34k.
Could i get to buy this monitor for a lesser price.

In case you decide to go for Dell, try to find out a Dell employee connection. They get fabulous discounts.

So can anyone tell me a Dell employee to get the discount.
I tried to find out the offical price from the Dell India site.
But those people r not replying only.
Should i ask one of the dealers who sell Dell monitor on the dealer section.
I plan to buy this monitor by first week of August.
after i get my salary.
If anyone can tell me whom to contact to get the best deal for the monitor it will be great.
Cheers
