HTPC Configs.

HTPC - For all your movies and music needs, to listen to rock and roll.

The below mentioned config is considering that , you would want GOOD sound and viewing experience and not look to really overclock a lot or look for extreme processing and speed. IF that be the case then get the TL120EX + at least a 20.5CM wide cabinet . but even with stock cooler 2.4 2.5 ghz should not be difficult . the range of speakers is wide choose what suits your budget the best so is the case for the LCD . you can even hook the same to a LCD TV @ home.

There are possibly many more options available in this price point. you might want to get better speakers , not such expensive ram , may be a cheaper monitor like the E22 and spend on may be a set of Razer keyboards and mouse. may be even go the water cooling way. get in a stacker 830 the options here become endless i have jus suggested one .

CPU - Q6600 - 11 k
MOTHERBOARD- ABIT PRO – 10.5 K / asus / xfx680 sli – 10 k ( incase u want to do sli)
RAM- 1 x 2 GB Cellshock / Gskills /PATRIOT 800mhz – 5k -7 K depending on the model . check with KMD / PRIME primeabgb - Home
HARD DISK- WD 500 gb - 5.6k
GRAPHICS CARD- GALAXY 8800GT X 2 SLI- 29 K ( beats the 768 mb 8800 in sli mode GeForce 8800 GT 512MB SLI review) else I will just hook up one 8800GT – 14.5 ( there aint really a great difference for the price to performance from the 8800 gts 768 mb model according to me )
ROM - DVDRW Sony Sata / SAMSUNG- 1.3 k
MONITOR- Dell SP2208WFP – 21k ( RAGHUS GO)
CABINET- CM 690 - 4K
SMPS- Corsair HX 620 - 7 k
KEYBOARD- Samsung Pleomax - .2k
MOUSE- MX518 - 1.5 k
SPEAKERS- Altec Lansing MX5021 - 7 k
OTHERS - TL 120 EX - 2.7 k , Mousepad - .5 k , 120 mm fans – 450 bucks , led cfl etc .

repped and rated .. nice guide dude ..
but it will need a update in next week as 3850 and 3870 become available in India ..
the 3850 is wiping floor with 8600gt .. no point in getting it for 30k budget ,
US price is stated to be 179$ probably it will retail at around 7.5 to 9k in India
and performance is just amazing for this price ...

anywayz this is the worst month to buy a PC as new launches are going on ..
better wait till mid dec ...
