I am looking for a cabby. If I had my way I would have bought Antec 900, but the prices here are ridiculous and its unavailabe.

So I have narrowed down to Guardian and 690.

I am not sure which to buy. CM 690 i feel must be modded, its too plain for my taste. I like the styling of the guardian but its not so good featurewise but is still comparable.

    Which should I go to?

Can anyone quote the price of Antec 900 in Bangalore?(Its retail price in US is 50$, here I am paying more than 150$, I am being robbed)

    heh?

ANtec 900 for 50 bucks? Where sir?

newegg has it for 119 shipped so do most other sites. No one's cheating you here

Have you considered the NXZT Tempest? Supposed to be a VERY GOOD cabinet.

Also, i would suggest that you avoid the CM690. The placement of its hdd bay being the primary reason behind my saying so.

Tempest is available in Mumbai i guess. stormblast got one recently.

In the US, prices on the net for hardware are generally much cheaper than instore prices. I think there has been some misunderstanding between you and your cousin. the 900 CANNOT have possibly been for 50bucks. the Antec300 is in the price category for christs sake.

Tempest is about 6k, a very good cabinet indeed.

Avoid the Guardian, the airflow is nothing to write home about....

Between the two, the CM690 it is. But given the option I'd also suggest the CM590 for slightly cheaper.

CM690 minus all that unwanted plastic + the straight 5.25" cage = CM590.

If you can spend a bit more, the NZXT Tempest it is. Has more room inside compared to the CM690 and better cooling esp. for the HDDs.
