i know Dell is the leader but there prices are higher in India.
20" - 24" LCD Monitor

Also how much response time is good for gaming & HDs? Is 5ms not good enough? Or 2ms is the only option?

I guess the only choices left are US2208 and SP2008WFP. I guess people have been happy with the response time, with these 2 panels. Try and get a quote from a dell rep, or best wait for a Dell GO to restart , I'm sure you can get ~15k price for US2008, its not on the dell site though

US2208WFP is good but IMO better is SP2208WFP as it has integrated 2MP webcam, HDMI and HDMI audio-out. But of course, before finalising something wait for comments from someone who has used them.

As far as prices are concerned, have a look in market section.

I can't see whats in US2208WFP? And I am also considering SP2208WFP.
Any other choices?

US2208WFP (where US stands for UltraSharp) are Dell monitors with alightly better colour calibration that non-UltraSharp monitors.

I've got the Dell US2208WFP and though I'm really happy with it, I have to admit that it's not the best gaming monitor. 5ms just doesn't cut it. There is a bit of ghosting, not too much though. It doesn't bother me, and I like everything else about the monitor, but I wouldn't buy it again. I'd rather buy the 20" Ultrasharp from Dell which has a better panel, and better colour reproduction because it's got a true 8 bit panel, and not a 6+2bit panel like all the 22"LCD's have.

I guess I am attracted my 22inch more.
Can we look at a lower screen size segment

My needs :
Coding, Web designing + Image edting, Eye Candy while daily tasks, Casual gaming, watching HDs

Do I really need a 22" screen?
Dell SP2208WFP will cost me ~16.5k and available only in white color (my PC is black) and a 24" will cost me 19.5k

How about a 20" screen with 1680 X 1050 resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio and 2ms response time or a very good 19" screen.

Please help in this issue. I am a lil confused what will suit me best.

Lg wtq 22" one is still available at croma for 13k ..

If its 19" Look No Beyon VX1940w from viewsonic..1680x1050res..1000:1 ..using it and text quality is highest ive ever seen On a LCD.

ashfame...take a tour around the croma and reliance digital if you are in Delhi, wherever you see a L226WTQ [as yogi states its still avl in croma mumbai], GRAB it. Dont think a second time. Easy on your budget and you wont regret it.

I am gonna search for any pieces of LG monitor left in the market. I am unable to find any Reliance Digital store in Delhi.
Will take that Viewsonic monitor in account if need arises. Thanks
