I mean backlit only for keys not otherwise. getting confused between

g-15 ( if i can get old one the better)

    Microsoft reclusa

    and Razor

If could get comments from you all would help.

one of my frnds have Razer and surprisingly he told me it isnt fun because the legibility isnt that great. He said dim light works ok , complete dark nighttime gaming sucks.

    he too recommends logitech.

however both Saitech, and cyborg look lovely ...

just cyborg looks delicate , would end up breaking wsad & space.

have to see if cyborg is available

I'm trying for a local group order (with local warranty) of:

    Newegg.com - Saitek PK17U Black/Silver 104 Normal Keys 12 Function Keys USB Standard Cyborg Keyboard - Keyboards - 3-3.5k

Newegg.com - Saitek Eclipse III Black 104 Normal Keys USB Wired Standard Backlit Multimedia Keyboard - Keyboards - 3.5-4k

but they will take one month to arrive here so if you can wait they are the best after Logitech G19 & G15 & totally kill Razer & Microsoft in my opinion

Cyborg seems a better deal and is also smarter looking keyboard... strange how eclipse is costlier

    hey all

i know lil older thread ... read n surfed and looked around our friendly google for some time and short listed on three

would tell why not others if any one has some counter thoughts do add...

    Logitech G11, G15 NO

coz they are toooo wide n huge....

sounds strange but the size is way too massive... my keyboard rack wont fit it in or even space before my monitor would be gone.... and mouse too would get cramped...

g11 is still managable with 21cm width ........ g15 is stupid side of around 27 cm ... n if am right that is without the palmrest

    Razer Lycosa, Tarantula

saw lycosa at my friends place...... first view not very impressed ok looks beautiful n is responsive actually too responsive for normal typing and ah lighting of lycosa atleast one my frnd uses has really not upto mark by me. In complete darkness u need to look at keys carefully...... it isnt exactly the brightest ones thats there.

    Taruntula.

most classy one thats there... but is finger print magnet..... and monster needs two usbs 2.0 and on keyboard the other two usbs are only 1.1... and is pricy

next Saitek eclipse II, III & Cyborg

Saitek is one which interests me a lot but then lack of support in India its a risk .... i cough up decent amount n if anything is wrong me is pretty much doomed..... so even when i want cant risk

rest Ideazon Merc , Reclusa are also interesting.. Ideazon similar reasons like Saitek and Reclusa is no big deal rather buy fancy table lamp on normal keyboard

so now kinda pinned my choice to these two...

Everglide DKTBoard. - Fantastic finish n quality, simple and lovely lighting do check it out.... and its made of brushed aluminum ( though again no india support)

Microsoft X6 Sidewinder - Pretty well lighted, Swappable side num pad, great build quality ( though lil costly)

third in choice is Ideazon Merc....

what you guys thing? do reply

Go with the Sidewinder X6. At 3.6k, you wouldn't be going wrong with it. And 3 yrs warranty too.

Only flaw it has is that it doesnt have any memory so all the macro keys are useless if u go to someother machine.... well i am not into lan parties so this doesnt bother me .......

Any dealer in Mumbai for Microsoft ?

Unboxed n installed... installation is breeze

Lighted up during day, was even in lighting n pretty much visible

without back light too keys are really nice visible. the lighting is also visible from front sitting positing. WSAD keys have front etching so that they stand out better than the rest. Lighting control , volume all work fine

would try out a game for Ctrl A W feature...

rest some more pics , the num pad swaps toooooo smoothly. its hooked on by strong magnets so all you need to do is slide it out n slide it to other side. Also in normal mode whole keyboard is evenly lit in red.... in gaming mode the num pad becomes orangish. ... added some pics for you guys
