dell s2208 wfp
ur own choice is very good enough!!
^^ I dont think you get Dell monitors at Lamington road, and Dell 2208 WFP is 13k+
You only have the Samsung and Benq models at that range in Lamington road.
Well well well...
The mounting of the stand on the Samsung 2233SW is as simple as a knife going in butter, but u have to do it the appropriate way as mentioned.
U should put the stand below and push the monitor over it. Dats all...
Whoever feels its a problem while doing it, they either are trying hard to do the wrong way or have put the stand in the opposite direction of what it should be...
Colors are always good on the Samsung. Even at Croma, i like the color of the Samsung better than all the others on display. LG ones are real bad when colors are considered...However, dis factor is a completely personal opinion. Colors might look natural to some and to some it might look a little less or a little more...U'll have to judge this by urself while buying the monitor.
Backlight bleeding is common in nearly all big screen monitors(not sure about the IPS panels). In TN panels, there is some amount of backlight bleeding always either at corners or below the screen. In Samsung 2233SW, u can see some backlight bleeding when u watch movies with black borders and in complete dark room. Anyway, u r gonna watch the movie not the black borders, ain't it?
And this backlight bleeding is not et all noticeable when u watch something in full screen, be it a HD movie or even our tata sky waala television channels...
So, at the end, for me it doesn't matter.
If u want to spend a lot, search for the IPS panels(though i think this problem does not depend on the panel type) or for the ones which have less bleeding.
For most, it won't matter et all...
Overall the colors are good, the contrast is excellent, looks are good, viewing angles are enuf for anybody watching with just someone else and not with a whole lotta people... And the looks of the monitor can kill any model in the 22" category...
Come on, what more would anybody need...
But at the end, the bigger the screen , the more is the fun...So, if ur budget permits go for the 24" models...
abi clone posted this in an other thread called "calling all samsung 22" users"
check out that tread ....i fell samsung is the monitor and watching movies on it would be simply out of the world !! 9.9k is a killer price!
Thanks for the headup guys...![]()

Plz put quotes around the text if u are taking it from someone's thread.![]()
I know u've mentioned that it's clone abi(clown_abhi) who posted this...
But what i have posted should be in quotes...

Anyway, every TN panel in ur budget would have some amount of bleeding coz of the simple fact that panels are not dat good to stop all the light.
So, u buy any monitor, u'll get the same problem...It would be worse if u buy a monitor and get the bleeding at corners.
Atleast in Samsung it's at bottom, so it doesn't matter...![]()
Rest is ur take...Go, get ur monitor...:hap2:

I didnt notice any backlight bleeding on Dell 2209 WFP at a friends house. But then again thats 3k= over the Samsung monitors. Do have a look at Benq monitors too, as the backlight bleeding I believe is less there.

Yup, im toking abt 2033SW @ Rs. 6.9k from CE (Nehru Place), 7.1k Elsewhere.
I jst bought one for my friend, n damn it gorgeous for almost everything!
IMO spending more on TN panel of a different brand (DELL-14k) is pointless.
One shud rather get a Samsung 24" at the same price of arnd 14k.
PS: Dunno abt spending on IPS panel is worth or not, as ive myself never viewed one.

^^ IS there any big noticeable difference between sammy 20" and 22" inches?
well the 2233SW is a 21.5" panel ... (samsung site says 22")
dunno abt 2033SW bt samsung site says 21.5" :S
resolution wise 2233SW is full HD
2033SW is 1600x900
better is going to the shop..asking for both panels... sk them to open the box n compare the size...if u think 2233SW is worth extra 3k then blow it away
i would rather invest those 3k in some performance/cooling upgrades...provided both of these panels perform equally good apart from the difference in size n resolution (which im nt so sure about)
