    Buying a new Cpu

    CPU - Intel P4 3.0Ghz

    Motherboard - Intel 845

    RAM - Hynix 1GB DDr1

    Monitor - Samsung 15' CRT

    SMPS - Iball



    Q: Which hardware will you be keeping (component name - component brand and model)

    Monitor - Samsung 15' CRT

    SMPS - Vip Gold 550V (bought it few days back)

    I have almost finalized it but still a little confused about the MOBO's

    ^^ Sire you seriously need to up the budget, if you want the RIG To last 3 years. And there is no point having 4GB of RAM and not fully utilizing it by installing 32-bit OS on it.

    Well, I think we can manage within 13K assuming you want only the CPU+mobo+RAM+HDD.



    CPU~ AMD Phenom II X2 555 ~ 4.5k

    Mobo ~ Gigabyte MA880GM-USB3L ~ 4.25K

    RAM ~ Corsair XMS3 4GB ~ 1.6k

    HDD ~ WD 500GB/Seagate ~ 1.9K



    Total 12.25K



    Upgrade from X2 to X4 Phenom, 13.5K total overall.

    Ok, saw that you plan to play Crysis 2, GoW, would then suggest a few changes.



    Athlon X2 260 ~ 3K

    AMD 760G board ~ 2.75K

    Corsair Value memory 4GB ~ 1K

    AMD 5670 GPU 1GB ~ 5K ~ You should be able to play most of the games easily @ 1024x768 with full settings

    Seagate 500GB HDD ~ 1.9K



    Total 13.65K.

    MSI A75MA G55 - 5.5k

    4Gb Ram DDR3 1600 Mhz - ~2k

    WD/Segate 500Gb - ~1.9k



    Optional - AMD A4 3400 = 3.9k - Dual Core



    You can later add a Radeon 6670 and do a crossfire (dual graphics) with this APU .
