This is a discussion on Low speed on Torrents ? within the P2P forums, part of the Software Zone category; Hi TE ppl ...
I have BSNL Home 500 plane...
Whenever i try to download Torrents i got very low speed (...
^^ Look..
The speed of torrent depends upon number of seeders of that torrent files..
No. of seeders > No. of Leechers ==> More download speed.
No. of seeders < No. of Leechers ==> Less download speed.
What kind of torrent client do you use? Usually, if you want better speeds, you have to set up a static IP and do some port forwarding. Portforward.com has several guides for configuring different routers and torrent clients, probably wouldn't be a bad place to start.
I have bsnl 500 plan! i get speed of 210 kbps on well seeded ones(read private trackers),but average about 150 dependng upon the seed, leech ratio.
try a test torrent !
isn't home 500 a 256kbps plan ??
download speed is only a max. of 33KBps rite?
then wats this bout 150-200 & 50-70 KBps?
Do enlighten me..
as Rahulrulez said the download speeds range up to 2 Mbps max with 256 kbps being minimum. Recently the upload speeds have gone up to 512 kbps.
remember its all in kilo bits per second, not kilo Bytes, so a on a 256kbps connection you should get 32 kilo Bytes of data theoretically.
I get steady 185 KBps Download and 47 KBps upload (both throttled for DL/UL balance) on private trackers and sometimes even on open trackers (if there are more seeders than leechers).
