Need help with gpu overclocking with Rivatuner

All the overclocking gurus here, please help me with the below issue

I am able to get 700/1110 stable on 4850 palit

    1. Created an overclocked profile( to start it before gaming)

    2. Created a 2D profile with default clocks(625/993) and set it at startup and also to turn it on after gaming

When i switch to 2D profile, say after gaming, it doesn't automatically switch to default 2D clocks - 500/900. It remains on default 3D clocks

If i dont set manual overclocking, then it switches to 2D clocks fine

How does the default 2D clocks revert by switching the profiles

Why not use CCC. It is good. Update to the latest drivers, and do it from there. Plus your card has the power saving profile. So it should kick-in to the 2D mode when not rendering 3D, and all the clocks+power consumption come down.

That's natural. As soon as you override the clocks via Rivatuner, it also overrides the CCC driver profiles. That means, if you manually set the clock to 625/993, it will remain @625/993.

    Thanks

Does CCC do overclocking with fanspeed adjustment like rivatuner

Also can i set 2 profiles for overclocked and normal 2D ?

Yes you can. I have done a mild OC, on my second 4890 to match it to the primary. All seems to be working. Same with the fan profile. Also it gets knocked back to 2D mode, when not rendering 3D.
