Default Sata HDD working in IDE mode

Hi,
I'm facing data transfer speed issues in my Atom 945GCLF build.The main problem us that SATAII HDD works in IDE mode[Ultra DMA mode 5] so, the trasnfer speed around 3.3MB/s

OS:win 7/XP

Ports on board: IDE port- 1,Sata ports-2

Devices connected:
IDE DVD writer & IDE HDD 40GB[window 1]
640GB SATA2 HDD[window 2]
320GB SATA2 HDD[window 2]

Drivers are up-to-date.

Anybody facing same problem? please help

You need to find and enable DMA. Your transfer mode seems to be set as PIO.

Or you could switch the drives to SATA AHCI from Compatibility in BIOS. But that would also mean you need the SATA drivers in your OS, which should be there in Win 7. In XP you would need to manually install.

DMA mode was enabled [DMA 5]
& no ACHI option in BIOS

In Northbridge settings ... there should be option to configure your SATA controller to Advance or AHCI mode ... it looks like it's in compatibility mode

post screenshots of Advance menu from BIOS if possible

Even my SATA-II 2 drives show as IDE in bios (UDMA5), but that shouldn't affect the transfer speed. I got 3 x 1TBs and a 320GB (all SATA-II) installed on my 945GCLF2 Atom board, I have never faced any transfer issues. Your problem must lie somewhere else.
