This update file would have extention as .exe / .cab / .msu
.exe and .msu files will install as normal install ... u may need to extract/expand contents of .cab file using expand command
hello guys, been wondering how to install windows updates offline after downloading them through the windows update catalog. I have one such update (KB911895 HID non-user data input filter) downloaded from MS update catalog website, which resolves the monitor sleep mode issue for ppl who use MS wireless keyb/mouse.
Actually i am able to install this update online but its painful to do it everytime when i install windows...
Plz help me on how to install this update manually...

One file among the contents of this cab file has an INF extension and usually these type of extensions can be installed by right clicking on the INF file and selecting install. But in windows 7, m getting a message that this type of installation is not supported ...
