I'll be using the box via the WebUI for most parts but might enable the GUI to work with x11VNC.

anish, for a lamp setup, you are mucho better off with no gui at all

^ True but I wanna do my Adept and other installations via the GUI before shutting it down once the server goes headless

i hav a dell xps 1530 with t7250 and 2gb ram.which distro should i order.the 32 or 64bit one?

If you have more than 3GB ram & do lot of CPU intensive tasks then go for 64bit. Else 32 bit FTW

| They are usually shipped along with the CD. I always got the stickers in the CD Package.

I got these CDs couple of times, now I feel its waste of resources unless one is still stuck in dialup connection.
I already have Desktop and server isos and currently downloading 32bit alternate iso for testing it out with my old notebook. I just use cdrws for installing linux, you can just reuse the disks.

| Yep I was having some 10-20 Cd's of Ubuntu , I distributed them in Schools and Colleges
