Default Fast user switching

I wanted to know if Fast User switching is possible on RED HAT linux? and if yes, please guide me to enable it.
I need the above, because if one user locks the system, no one else can login until the user comes back and logs out. I need to have a work around for this so that the user can lock the system but the root or any other user can login to the same machine from the same machine too. No ssh , telnet etc.

Default Re: Fast user switching

Which version of RedHat Linux are you using? Older RHEL version do not support fast user switching as far as I know. If you're running Fedora 7 or up fast user switching should work (although 8 or 9 may have the least buggy implementation).
