Microsoft is offering Window 8 Upgrade for qualifying Windows 7 PCs bought between June 2 2012 and Jan 31 2013 for just $14.99.
For the process, a user needs to enter the details of the purchased PC on microsoft website to get a promo code which can be used with the Upgrade Assistant to get it for $14.99.
Now, a loophole has been discovered that lets anyone get the promo code by faking information on the website. The page requires very basic information like model and purchased date and doesn’t ask anything like Windows 7 Key or serial number of the PC, so there is no way to verify if the PC is bought within the offer timeline.
By submitting the details, one gets a confirmation mail and a promo code mail, by using the promo code in the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant, one can get Windows 8 just for $14.99 .
Microsoft is offering Windows 8 Pro at $39.99 for PCs running 7/Vista/XP, but using this loophole people are able to get it for just $14.99 .

This will save MS from many pirates. Doing good instead of harm to MS. Maybe this was deliberate.
They are not fools, at least they will earn something out of this. I think most people can spare 8oo bucks to have a Genuine Windows.
