Chinese manufacturer Gionee has launched its new flagship smartphone Gionee Elife E6 in India priced at Rs 22,999.
The company is planning to market their smartphones seriously in India with a budget of USD 2.5 million for this festive season.
“We are targetting to be among the top five smartphone players in the country in the coming three years. We will be opening 240 Gionee stores and 2500 Gionee shop in shops by December next year,” Gionee India Head Arvind R Vohra said at the launch.
The Gionee E6 packs a 5 inch Full HD 1080p AMOLED display with One Glass Solution ( OGS ) in a stylish metal unibody chassis.
The Elife E6 is powered by Mediatek MTK6589T 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor with 2GB of RAM and has 32GB internal storage. It comes with 13MP rear camera with Autofocus and LED flash and 5MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and 3G. It has non-removable 2020mAh battery.
It runs Android 4.2 OS with software enhancements like DTS 3D audio , Heartbeat Synchronization Technology for power management, gesture support like raising up to the ear to answer call, pause/play videos based on eye sensing etc.
