The brand new update is the first tweaked version of KitKat 4.4 and it has started rolling out on Nexus devices, starting with the Nexus 5.

One of the biggest improvements in the new update is the improvements that have been done to the mobile phone’s camera. Also, the launch of the camera app on the phone starts quicker as well, unconfirmed reports saying by upto a second faster.

Google also says that the new update has done drastic software improvements to the camera. It improves the camera with faster focus especially in low lighting conditions, with faster white balance and truer colours, the ability to pinch zoom in the HDR+ mode and now there is less shutter lag as well.

Many more small fixes are included in the update, including but not limited to :

* Fixes for the Nexus 5 speaker bug, making it louder.
* Fixed the bug that occasionally made the notification bar partly opaque.
* Increased Haptic feedback
* ‘Photos’  is now the default photo-viewing app when you swipe out of the Camera app.
