Now here is a bad problem with my on board Ethernet card... Day before yesterday i happened to put a false MAC address (spoofed it) for my Ethernet card from windows Ethernet card properties without using any 3rd party softwares. But now to my surprise when today i tried to dial a connection which is mac binded it wouldnt get dial as my mac was wrong. So i happened to check and was shock to see that the spoofed address which i had entered had become the permanent physical address of my Ethernet card

Now me being engg atleast know that MAC address is hardware based and i cant be changed but it can be just spoofed while the original mac which company gives still remains..but what happened with me is strange

So i tried formatting windows just to make sure the tcp stack is restored...but then again same MAC address popped up which i had spoofed..Now now matter if i select no value present in network address field it shows me same spoofed mac address..Even amac, smac, tmac and wireshark shows me spoofed MAC address as my original one.

    So someone please help :'(

PS : is there a ghost in my machine ?
