That was an excellent piece of tweak. Congrats!
Coupleof days back, I took Build14 from Tim's page and uploaded the same into the respective location in my iPhone. The I put your UIPhoneFormat.plist into the appropriate place. After that I took callinfo.db from this place, as it was mentioned to be updated.
Results:
1. I am getting the separation between the phnone number digits for landline and mobile calls. The part with phone number is working fine.
2. When it comes to display of the carrier information, place from all originated there is no such information.
Could you please help me in setting things right.

| | Re: How to get iPhone Caller ID, Numbers Display & Location/Operator info Show Correc | | @Raul: When I used the callinfo.db, from the link provided by you it works. But still I get some numbers without origin. Must be new cell-phone codes.
Maybe the callinfo.db provided in the link, in my last reply is new and updated, then how to make it work properly. I see the file is over 1 MB in size.
If anyone has an updated callinfo.db which has recent mobile operator numbers, then please attach or post the link.

I tried to create the callinfo.db, with updated entries for CDMA MSC Codes, but have stuck somewhere.
Here I have uploaded the latest callinfo_india.sql, with the additional entries. If possible can anyone make a callinfo.db out of this and upload the same.

| | Re: How to get iPhone Caller ID, Numbers Display & Location/Operator info Show Correc | | The callinfo.db is not comprehensive, for instance some of the new mobile codes will not show and needs to be constantly updated. However its just a sqlite file and needs to be converted to db file after you make your changes. Hope you are doing that right with the sqlite program linked in the original post.
Incase you still run in to issues, add the new entries you need to the callindia.sql I provided and convert it to db and then try. |

| | Re: How to get iPhone Caller ID, Numbers Display & Location/Operator info Show Correc | | I did it as per the instruction provided. When I type .read callinfo.sql it says can't read the file. Hence I am unable to proceed further.
As per the .help contents, .dump provides the way to get sql file out of the db file. But its just a syntax given there. When I try doing .dump callinfo.db <filename>.sql, I don't get any file.
Is there any way I can convert the callinfo.db file to a text file?
I am trying to make a bigger db list and post it.
Please help me out.
Cheers,

I have updated the callinfo.db, with almost all the STD codes, and even the Reliance and Tata Indicom CDMA numbers. I have attached both callinfo.db and callinfo.sql at this location. You may upload the callinfo.db @ /System/Library/Frameworks/AppSupport.framework/Support/ to your iPhone and let me know.

| Use iBrickr for browsing iPhone. Apps can be installed without wifi also, but its a tedious process and problems may creep in. Try WinPwn. Its one of the best. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | |
