Another Tata Broadband Problem!?! Has anyone faced this?

Well i said before i have a 2mpbs 40 HR pack from TATA Indicom...and now i am facing a really weird problem...

After every 1hr n 15-16min the connection stops working...i mean downloads stop...i am signed out of messengers and if i try to browse i get a page saying i dont have sufficient balance in my account!!

But after i disconnect and then re-connect it works fine for the next 1hr 15-16mins...

The first time this happened i thought i must be some glitch in their system...
but now it has happened abt 4-5 times..i am kinda irritated!!

All this when i am still using my existing EXATT connection for this month i have barely used the TATA one so i still have 25hrs remaining of the 40hrs!!

Has this happened with anyone??

@ Should say im very much happy with EXATT here as well....EXATT has MORE downtime recently....but then gives constant speeds when downloading , at nites its constant @ 30+ kbps.

Edit : i guess after ur trial is OVER , its time to renew ur exattnet

^^well i i am thinkin on the same lines! but Exatt doesnt give the promised speed thats a big problem....

its like choosing between the devil n the deep sea...

Happens to me all the time with Tata...have the 512 UL connection. What i do is run a ping in the background to yahoo.com. That works for me the entire day until they reset it in the night...then i have to physically re-log on. BTW when you complain, they say its done for our security...i get logged off after 5 minutes of inactivity...

How do you ping it to yahoo??? I face the problem cos i Keep it on whole day but I guess it gets logged off at 9/10am...cant keep it logged in....does your stay logged in whole day....I have heard they do it so they cud reboot their servers......please reply or PM me about the process......needed it desperately....

They reset their servers sometime in the night....so i get disconnected and have to physically re-login in the morning.

Where do u stay?? I stay at Borivali....here they do it in morning 9 / 10 something..dat time m in my office....so please temme how do u keep pingin yahoo.......

Type this in a command window "ping wxw.yahoo.com -t -l 1" replace the x with w please

@Vivek : i am currently using the connection in dial-up mode.... is there any work around for it?

well, can you not have the dailer re-dail when u loose the connection?

thats the problem na....also it logs off if no activity for some time....have to do somethin abt it........

inactivity logoff can be fixed by PING...see my post above

well i dont get disconnected!! it stays connected....but all activity stops...and if i try to open a page...i am redirected to a TATA page saying i have insufficient balance...

then i have to disconnect and re-connect..
