not another X800 xxxx card...
not another X800 xxxx card...
This battle between nVidia and ATi is getting ridiculous by the day. Soon, there will be a situation when a "newer" card would be announced every single day.

^^LOL looks like ur prediction might actually come true. ATI shud now stop releasing more X800 cards :|. There's just way too much confusion in the market. On the other hand the reason for these cards probably is that it has too many defective R430/480/423 cores that it wants to get rid of before the R520 launch since no one will buy an X800 after the R520 comes out. Ppl might be able to snag one of these parts at a real bargain in the process.

Currently ATI is having a cash flow crunch, (just like me), as chaos mentioned earlier it has lots of dead inventory to get rid of.

Way too many x800 products for ATi own good. Some potential buyer might get miffed by so many different monikers
XT, XTPE, Pro, XL, GT, GTO... :S

^^ U meant GTO in one of those 6800GTs right?
But there is no GTO in nvidia..... or is there???
6800GTO = 12 pipes, 350MHz core, 900MHz ram, dell only :|
Ok... so you mean the memory is slower than standard GT.....But why.... I don't understand the need for a GTO when there is already a GT
Well its a rather old card... as i said 12 pipes so all the failed GT cores probably went to these and dell bought them for cheap![]()
^^LMAO !
So then the way I see it the chart goes like this
6800LE < 6800XT < 6800 < 6800GT < 6800U.
