Alternate Drivers for ATi and Nvidia !

Since most enthusiasts are looking for ways to extract more performance out of their video cards/cpus etc; i am posting a compilation of alternate drivers for Nvidia and Ati users. I hope you find them useful.


Alternate Drivers for ATi Catalysts !




Omega Drivers: The purpose of the Omega Drivers is to provide gamers with an alternate set of drivers, ones that have more options and features than the original sets. The drivers contain optimizations, extra features (like OC capabilities), more resolutions and internal tweaks that can give them the edge in a gaming environment over the normal drivers, which are often tailored for synthetic benchmarks. All Omega driver sets are tested (unless noted) by myself in my own PC or in an alternate PC (in the case of the Nvidia drivers) to ensure maximum compatibility and reliability.

NGO Drivers: The NGO ATI Optimized Driver is a tweaked version of the ATI Catalyst driver. The main purpose is to satisfy the users with a better performance and better image quality. The Driver has support for all Radeon cards (both desktop and mobile platforms).

DNA Drivers: These are modified Catalyst drivers for Windows 2000 & XP. Modified drivers simply means that the author takes official or beta drivers from the manufacturer and starts to tweak them for either better image quality and or performance. Please bare in mind that the driver manufacturer, in this case ATI, does not support drivers like these.

which drivers will suit my system well?

my rig
gfx card : asus geforce 4 mx 440 (its a basic one but satisfies my need)
p4 2 ghz with intel d845 gbv mb
512 mb ram
win xp home licensed and updated
liteon dvd combo
samsung cd rom
pinnacle pctv plus tv tuner
all other basic necesities to runa comp :p

Omega I think has stopped updating the drivers.

Besides the WHQL certified drivers by nvidia, the omegas do a good job @ maintaining image quality with performance. The new Extreme G drivers are known to have gr8 performance improvemenst thought i havent tried them personally.

@Satan: Use Omegas since u have a 9800pro now. Ati drivers by omegas rock in gaming but arent good enuf for benchies. The Cats and DNAs are better for that.

You will find almost all modified and official drivers here, fast servers too.
Also blade, please try and avoid deeplinking the files. Post the page previous to the actiual file.( Most of them mention this on their websites ).

I am using XFX Nvidia GeForce PCX 5750 with 256 MB RAM, with P4 Prescott 3.4 GHZ, Asus i925x- P5AD2 Premium and 512 MB DDR-II RAM
