    helloz

i play counter strike on my home PC,on a CRT

    Samsung Syncmaster 793s at 640x480

it can support 120hz refresh rate, and im very used to it

i was wondering if u go on a Gaming Caffe, they have LCD

so LCD dont support more than 75hz refresh rate

so it will make any difference because i have heard that in LCDs refresh rate dont matter only response time ( ms thing ) matters

    yup

LCDs @ 60Hz wont feel like blinking as in a CRT.

But LCDs has a problem of trailing and it is reduced by faster response time.

Most of todays LCDs has 5ms or lower response time, so the trailing caused cant be found by human eye in most situations.

U can go for an LCD eyes closed. But caffe might be having old models, with 8, 10 or even 15ms which can cause trailings.

For Counter Strike , Just dont worry: u will find easier to play on LCD than on CRT

Just remember to keep Vertical Sync OFF

Anyways, LCD is much better than CRT in terms of Eye strain, Detail, Sharpness..
