How to connect ps3 to Hathway cable modem

Hi guys

hav a prob.got a Hathway bb connection yesterday.they hav provided me with a Scientific Atlanta 2100 cable modem with a ethernet & usb out.speed is 512kbps UL.
its getting connected wit my pc perfectly but when i connect it with my ps3 i cant connect to net.
even if i set the ip manually,it gives a dns error.

wat sud i do now?

plz help me connect my ps3 so that i can do MP gaming.

Hathway uses binding security so once you connect to other devices, u need to call up CC for binding with that new device.
once u connect to PS3 and again connect to PC, does ur internet work?

^^^ yup connection with pc works any how.even after i disconnect from ps3.

do u get option like enable or disable DHCP in PS3? if so set it to enable

ok.got a netgear wifi AP 7 now i can connect but whenever i give a gmail/hotmail email it to sign up for psn it just refuses to accept.why is it refusing?

my friend did connect to PSN from hathway via wireless router...plz check the setting

hathway connection via RJ45 >> Wireless router (WAN port) >> PSP , lappy , PC , etc....

as i've already said that i've setup a Netgear WiFi router & now everything is working perfectly.

good tat is simple solution .. btw 4 how much u got ps3?
