Guys, been scratching my head on which brand of steam iron to go for. Which one is the best in w.r.t ASS and long life with good performance. Also please suggest model number if possible. Budget is 1.5k max.

Panasonic ones where the base is heavy is better when ironing.

I have one bought one NI-22AWT Panasonic Automatic which is not complex but very heavy to handle.

philips steam iron is the best using it for 8yrs now till date not a single problem

have used both, both are good and worked without any issues, choose the one you like and which fits in your budget.

Using Philips Steam Iron since last 10 years... Its pretty good. Get the one with Celeron coating. Its much tougher than Teflon & lasts much longer.

@ hailtstone - thank you mate. Yes, there is one model GC1115 which comes with ceralon coating which retails for 1.5k. Will go for that...
