Suddenly slow speeds in torrents

suddenly i am getting very slow speeds in torrents

i used to get near to 20 kbps speeds before

i am on airtel 128 kbps but speeds i am getting is around of 200 -220 kbps

speeds i am getting now is of near 1 - 4 kbps

any ideas

only in torrents or http also??

Are the torrents well seedes + from private trackers..?

torrents are well seeded and from public trackers

but i also tried some that i had previously downloaded like pes 08 with abt 25 seeders and still no change in speeds

http downloads are giving me respectable speed of abt 14 -18 kbps

come on dudes this is serious

Take a backup of ur utorrent settings(if u are using utorrent) from here
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\uTorrent
it should be a settings.dat file..delete it or cut and paste it somewhere else and start ur download now...mind u this will erase all ur settings so keep a backup..

try enabling encryption, although I don't think it should be the case, but the ISP may be limiting P2P data transfer..... if I were u, I'd also try another client just to check if the problem was with utorrent.

Lower the upload speed limit to say like 5kbps from unlimited.

^^ I am not sure It would help, In fact It should not, Since the Upload speed does not really casue any loss of download limit, as long as the uploads are not using up 100% UL speed....utorrent needs only a little upload rate to keep updating with the trackers and all....

if the speeds have improved then ok or else u could check this link as well ^^
