Sixty-six fans is a lot, but if you are planning to mod a standard PC case with fans allover, you shall be requiring that amount of cooling power. if you have a problem keeping cool and you continually have your CPU shorting on you, why not put some extra cool on your case?

That is if you can stand the awful sight, deafening sound and dust build up, which will eventually cause your CPU to short out, anyway.

first the case is stripped down and then these many fans


man its more like a vaccum cleaner then a pc

and besides more power supply and numerous splitters are needed

so think of even the ugly wires flying here and there inside

there's a case almost like this avaliable locally with 20 fans for 3k but it's not that butt ugly i like lots of fans

stupid is the words for it, is there a PC in there? I doubt it.

If that doesn't look ugly to you... then turn it on and leave it for a month. That thing is a biggest dust magnet I've ever seen.

Not to mention, the horrid sound will surely scratch your eardrums.

I m wondering wat will happen if a finger goes inside a fan while ejecting a cd rom n also will der b ne need for fan in the room ???

second of all, i get pissed of with the sound from even 2-3fans. imagine when u turn tht thing on.. even a 747 will get an inferiority complex

lol... each to his own... and most probably he has done it just for the sake of doing a "different" mod. whats wrong with that...

I myself have 6 x 120mm, 2 x 80mm fans in my rig excluding the ones in the GPU and the PSU. I also have a 2 x 80mm slot cooler, but currently not installed in my rig.

I remember posting this in one of the non-technical sections a long time back (I think it was before FE was born).
