Default Tata Sky Cable

I have had Tata Sky for the past 1.5 hears and I'm quite satisfied. Recently one of the cables which connects the stb to the dish has been giving some problem I have to keep re orienting it so that I can receive a signal.

I have now thought of replacing the cable myself as it seems to be a simple task and the technician would charge Rs. 350 extra.

Can anyone please tell me what kind of cables to they use and what kind of connector will I be needing ?

I'd be really grateful. Thank You.

Normally RG-6 cables are used. Get a good quality cable for minimum loss...

Which city are you located in?

I might get some cabling (~15 mtrs) from my old house, out of which I need around 5 mtrs only. You can have the remaining FOC from me (i.e. if you are in Mumbai too).

However, I would still like to know what those end connectors are called and where can they be procured?

I think its called a BNC connector, or why don't you call Tata Sky tech support and ask them, I'm sure they won't charge you for that
