DTH Recommendation

Hi,

I am planning to buy a DTH service for my 21 inch CRT TV.
I've heard good reviews about airtel as well as Tata Sky. I'm in Delhi.
Can anyone suggest.

All are the same. You'll find people saying something bad about each of the DTH operators, and similarly people who vouch for each of these companies. I would advise you to first decide what channels you would need, and then go through each of their sites. Find out which of these provides the channels you need in a good/cheap package and opt for them. Picture quality wise, I can't comment 'coz I've only used Tata Sky, and I'm happy with it. Generally I've heard more negative reviews about Big TV, so you'd be better off staying away from them.

well i have both big tv and airtel,if u want a peace of mind get the airtel or for that matter tata sky.
big tv has the edge in video quality,but occasionaly u will be cursing urself for choosing big tv,their stb still has issues,lots of misinformation by customer care.i can go on and on,but simply put stay way from big tv.

I have used both Tata Sky and Dish TV and below are my comments -

1. Dish TV has more channels than Tata Sky
2. The software of Tata Sky TV is faster as compared to Dish TV. The names of the movies get quickly displayed along with discription
3. However, Dish TV has a much more neater software where you get the schedule of all the programs like 2 days in advance. at a go
4. All similar channels are nicely sorted in Dist TV

I did not find any major difference in terms of picture quality between the two. Also, not sure as to how they fare against airtel, big or other providers.

I have also used both and changing channel in Dish TV is real pain (takes time). Remaining things may not have much difference to cause irritation
