I am looking to replace my current MB as it is giving me some problems. My current board is a Home Theater specific MB. A one off collaboration by AMD and many others in the HT business. The link to the specs of the board is :http://us.msi.com/product/bb/Media-L...=Specification. The beauty of this board is that it does not need a HT A/V receiver. It can output analog 5.1 audio with its built in amplifier plus it can display through Component out.



I need a replacement as it has started failing. Anyway, I never had a good success with MSI MBs so far. I don't think there is any equivalent MB made anymore. So, I will connect the audio out to an A/V receiver. I need suggestions for a MB that can do basic HT stuff.



I already have the following in my current setup that I intend to use to keep the costs down.

• X2 5400 AMD processor.
  
• 2 x 2GB DDR2 RAM (Will this work with newer MBs that use DDR3 RAMs?)
  
• Hard Disks
  
• A Spare audio card if required (M-Audio Revolution 7.1)
  

I am looking for an AMD MB with integrated graphics such as the 880G chipset with at least 1 PCI.The criterion is to use the existing hardware and low cost < 5000.



Any suggestions, please?
