Unmount fan from Ultima and see 15-20C differance.

fans make huge differance. Its differant thing if some1 place 9 high CFM fans and start expecting water cooling results

^ I was talking in context to side panels fans reducing cpu temps. Fans make huge diff on heatsinks, but one cant expect 6-7 deg drop changing side panel fan.

It will make even more than 6-7C differance if ambient is low, eg. Today rained here and 5C drop across all components, FRESH AIR matters.

Yeah but can we drop CPU temp by 6-7 degrees with 1/2 side fan keeping all other factors same, weather etc.

I used core temp as well and in 26 degrees (room temp) mine E4300 is 55 degrees (celcius) at 2% load. This is nothing for me as when i play some games, my fanless 7100 gs goes over 100 degrees most of the times.

Yeah my E8400 had a 0 load temps of 48/57 ! I put on an OCZ Vanquisher just to be on the safer side. It has bought down the temps only by 3C, but that is enough for me.

Aren't you guys supposed to use Real Temp for the 45nm processors . Core temp shows me 27c and 28c on each core, Real Temp shows 44~45 C. CPU Vcore is 1.3 (3.7Ghz).

Maybe both r wrong (1 using 95C Tj, other 105c Tj), actual temp will be 36C, Intel has released Tjmax specifications for 45nm Wolfdales, its 100C, fine tune UR Core Temp or Real Temp.
