Planning to install CCTV cameras in my office. Please tell me which company cameras to get and what will be the tentative cost.

Option 1 - Install 2 cameras in office and get screen in my office. (but I won't be able to see whats happening in office when I'm at home)

Option 2 - Install 2 cameras and see what's happening in office on my laptop through wifi (it's a home office)

What will be the cost involved in both the options.

@MODS - Didn't know where to post this so posted it here. Please move it to correct section or PM me will make new thread.

    TIA,

    Punker

For monitoring your office from home you need a dedicated internet connection. The DVR server setup at the office will transmit all the images. IP wifi cameras are expesive so expect to pay much more than wired cameras. For more clarity a higher camera resolution is necessary. IR led cameras allow viewing in darkness.

if you are ready to shell out money, check out cameras from wipro. they are very good quality, recommended to me by professional cctv installers who are also working for the gujarat police to set up cctv network in ahmedabad city. .if they say wipro is good, its definitely good.. coz these people are working with some pretty high tech. expensive stuff like HD video wireless transmitters with a range of over 15 km. and the likes.. but wipro cameras are a bit expensive too. i dont have all the details with me now, but analog cameras should cost anywhere between 5000 to 6500 a piece.. and these are not high definition.. and if you buy IP cameras, you will also need to have a computer turned on all the time to record the video. with analog cameras, the analog signal can directly be recorded via dvr onto a harddrive.. the overall cost of a dvr will be much lower than IP cameras. but with IP cameras you will have a lot of control over the application and use of the cameras..like motion sensing, fixed recording intervals.. etc.. face recognition, and all the high tech. stuff is possible with IP cameras if you fancy that.
