Any DVD player that can play off an USB hard disk

Hi,
I am looking for a DVD player that will play all downloadable formats that may have an Hard disk built-in or a USB2 / esata port that can play of a USB hard disk

Just gotten tired of burning DVD's each week........

If its something that can record TV programs too...that would be great.

There is no player that fits your wish list. Closest you can get is a DivX capable DVD Player with USB port.

You are better off building a HTPC, my friend...

Well which DVD player will play MOVIES off a USB stick or USB harddisk?

I have Philips DVD Player DVP5986K with HDMI and USB HDMI 1080p DivX Ultra.

Plays divx & Xvid ...regular inet rips!!!
No H264 Support.
Only Fat32 support.

Yeah, i have played mp3, jpg & avi file from 2gb trsnd usb stick.

You can carry your portable hdd or usb stk to hypercity n try it ..i did this b4 buying

Cons:
Bad Remote
No HDMI Cable provided.
No MPEG4 AVC ,WMV support.
No GOTO function For Divx or Xvid

Pros:
Cheap(unsure)
Video Quality (audio is OK)
Firmware upgradeable
Region Free(able)

He is looking for a player which can play all the formats that are available on net. I don't think there's any DVD player available yet which can do that, except the few that i have mentioned...................

Anyway a new Passion Company DVD player with USB support is available for 1.4k on futurebazaar site........ [Yes it plays all the divx & xvid files only]...

No RMVB, *.TS, High Bitrate AVI files, *.MKV, *.MOV etc..............
